Rritini fëmijët me gjuhën, traditat dhe vallet Shqiptarë.
Pjetër Budi (1566–1622) ishte një nga figurat më të rëndësishme të kulturës dhe letërsisë shqiptare të shekullit të 17-të. Ai ishte klerik katolik dhe shkrimtar, i njohur si një nga të parët që shkroi në gjuhën shqipe. Budi punoi për forcimin e kishës katolike ndër shqiptarë dhe mbrojtjen e identitetit kombëtar në një kohë të vështirë nën sundimin osman.
Veprat e tij përfshijnë tekste liturgjike dhe morale si "Doktrina e krishterë," që synonte edukimin fetar dhe gjuhësor të popullit shqiptar. Në shkrimet e tij, ai përçonte mesazhe patriotike dhe shpirtërore, duke nxitur ruajtjen e kulturës dhe gjuhës shqipe. Ai humbi jetën në mënyrë tragjike në lumin Drin në përpjekje për të organizuar rezistencë ndaj osmanëve.
